I am often asked what is Holistic Nutrition and what can a Holistic Nutritionist do to help me?
Let's start with the basics -Holistic Nutrition is about:
Looking at the whole person. It is about getting to the root cause of the underlying health concerns.
It's about looking at a person's diet and lifestyle to understand what might be causing a given issue.
We are all unique and what works for me might be different for you. So the process is all about gathering the right information and listening to a person's concerns and goals and determining the best approach to support you.
Our bodies are complex and are constantly communicating with us and giving us cues to help us make decisions about our diet and lifestyle. As a Holistic Nutritionist, my goal is to help you determine the foods that make you feel most nourished and healthy. But it's more than that. It's also about finding the right lifestyle practices to help you achieve optimal health and wellness.
My goal as a holistic nutritionist when working with clients is to help you understand what might be contributing to your hormone imbalance symptoms and educate you on ways to make the changes needed. This approach is focused on helping you learn to listen to your body's cues.
In my practice, I use functional hormone testing, specifically the DUTCH hormone test to identify what exactly is going on with your hormones. From there I provide my clients with a detailed and personalized plan that addresses the root cause of what is leading to the imbalances.
As a Holistic Nutritionist, I would support you by providing food, supplement, and lifestyle recommendations that create a path back to balanced hormones. We aren't looking for quick fixes or bandaid solutions. Your hormones are at the centre of everything - your energy, your weight, your monthly cycles.
I use hormone-loving nutrition support to help you fuel your body, find your happy weight, and finally have a PMS-free cycle. You can learn more about the programs I offer to help you balance your hormones here.
